The Mining Museum's function is to preserve and disseminate mining heritage. Its collection preserves various materials related to mining activity, but also to everyday life and social life around mining. These mainly include tools, machinery, plans, photographs and other documents. A sample of the Museum's collection can be seen in the current permanent exhibition.

Donations and transfers

Since its origins, the Museum of Mines has been incorporating objects, which have allowed the institution's funds to be considerably expanded. These objects have arrived at the Museum through donations and transfers from both individuals and institutions.
